Yankees Wool Jacket Before the advent of nylon and other high-tech fibers, wool was the predominant fabric on most baseball teams. This is one of the first known jackets which donned the now-famous "NY" fancy-font logo. This jacket was worn by the likes of Gehrig, DiMaggio, and a host of other renowned players of that time. Part of the prestigious Cooperstown Authentic Collection, this heavy wool jacket is made to the specifications of its era. Solid navy body with contrasting, ribbed, solid grey cuffs, waist and standup collar. Full button front and faux fur lining for extra warmth, and sewn felt logo on the left chest.
