When a player is hit, the vented Energy Blocks of the Schutt® Varsity Rib Protector take the force of the impact and disperse it over a much wider area to help reduce the force that would otherwise be absorbed by the body.

  • Rib and Back Plate with heavy-duty nylon mesh cover, PU foam provides additional protection to the back area.
  • Raised Corrugation for added strength.
  • 5mm vent holes help circulate air.
  • Can be worn by itself (with attachment harness - included) or attached to most brands of football shoulder pads, including all current Schutt® varsity size shoulder pads.
  • Includes 2 screws and washers to attach to shoulder pads. Requires a Phillips screwdriver (not included) for application to the shoulder pad.
  • Stainless steel hardware means no rust or corrosion.
  • Available in two sizes: Medium (fits Schutt shoulder pads S - L) or Large (XL - 5XL).
