Synonymous with baseball cards, The Topps Company has a long and very rich history within the sport. Topps produced its first baseball card set in 1951 with the game-oriented "Red and Black" set. But it was the 1952 set that really brought the modern sports trading card to life. Rich with history and intrigue, the 1952 set is now one of the more revered and valued card sets of all time. Topps has continued to produce baseball sets ever since, establishing the 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 standard card size of today and the information typically found on cards today. Topps baseball cards have been an institution unto themselves. Topps purchased the Bowman Company, in 1956. Since then, almost all the key rookie cards of the modern era of baseball trading cards have emerged from Topps packs of baseball cards. Today, Topps continues to build on its illustrious tradition. Baseball Factory Sets are complete base sets as packaged by Topps. Update Sets & Boxes are generally "end-of-season" subset releases, and may either be packaged in foil pack boxes or as complete mini-sets depending upon the issue. Boxes are sealed, foil packs of randomly inserted baseball cards, and may not necessarily contain a complete set. Some boxes may be part of a series release, and indentified by number. Baseball card items that are listed as "out" indicates no availability at this time. However, attempts to re-stock those items are being made. Our standard 30 day money back return privilege applies, however, baseball card boxes or sets must be returned in the same, unopened, sealed cellophane wrapper to qualify for return.
