Youth Baseball Bat Terminologies:
BPF: Acronym for "Bat Performance Factor". It is a general guideline that indicates the reaction of the ball as it hits the bat. Basically, a fastened and stationary bat is pitched a ball from a pitching machine. Upon impact, the ball will bounce back off the bat at no more than 1.15 times the incoming speed in order to obtain the 1.15 rating. As an example, if the speed of the ball is 50 MPH, it can not bounce off the bat more that 57.5' (50 * 1.15). A new bat model is subjected to numerous testings - and at different speeds. Then a rating is assigned based on a formulated average. All youth baseball bats listed above have the certified 1.15 BPF rating inscribed.
Drop Ratio: The differential between the weight of the bat and its length. Thus, a 31" youth baseball bat with a -11 drop ratio will weigh 20 oz., a 30" bat will weigh 19 oz., etc. Furthermore, the "higher" the drop, the lighter the bat model - (example a -13 baseball bat is lighter than a -11 bat. Some local youth leagues and organizations may have strict minimum drop ratios.

Warranty Note:
Most youth baseball bats carry a limited warranty backed by the manufacturer, and will vary from model to model. Warranty issues will usually be resolved between buyer and the manufacturer.
