HORSESHOES

The origin of horseshoe pitching dates back around 200 AD when Grecian armies began pitching horseshoes at a stake for recreation. However, the game as we know it wouldn't take form until 1869 when England set up rules to govern the game. The first horseshoe pitching tournament in which competition was open to the World was held in the summer of 1910 in Bronson, Kansas.
